From a French studio to a California gallery
Are you shipping a work sold to a collector, a group of paintings for a Los Angeles gallery, or pieces for an exhibition? We assess collection in Paris or elsewhere in France, packing requirements and air freight to Los Angeles.
Arrival at LAX and delivery to the recipient’s address are separate stages. Tell us whether you need airport delivery or a service through to a gallery, private residence or exhibition venue. Access conditions, receiving appointments and installation requirements are reviewed before booking.
Packing and custom crates
Send photographs of the artwork and its current packing. We can assess an existing crate for reuse or propose a custom crate where needed. For framed paintings, fragile sculptures and large works, materials, support points and the crate’s external dimensions determine the transport solution.
Air freight and customs clearance
We coordinate departure from France, air freight and the export and import formalities included in your quote. Please specify whether the shipment concerns a sale, loan, exhibition or return so that the documentation can be prepared. Any excluded duties, taxes and charges are identified in the quotation; a particular customs treatment is never assumed automatically.
Los Angeles delivery and shipments to Paris
Delivery to a gallery or collector can be arranged by appointment. Unpacking, installation and storage are assessed on request. For Los Angeles → Paris shipments, tell us about the available packing and the artwork’s customs status so that collection and return or import procedures can be planned.
Art fairs and exhibitions in Los Angeles
For a shipment to an art fair, including Frieze Los Angeles, send the event name, booth number, logistics instructions and installation and dismantling slots. We assess booth delivery, empty-crate handling, return shipping to France or delivery of sold works to collectors. The schedule is confirmed according to packing readiness, flight capacity, documentation and the organiser’s access requirements.

How much does Paris–Los Angeles art shipping cost?
The price depends on the number of works, crate dimensions and gross weights, collection and delivery addresses, access conditions and services required. An airport-only quotation to LAX does not necessarily include customs clearance and final delivery. Transit insurance can be offered on request, subject to the declared value and policy terms.
How long does shipping take?
We confirm the schedule after checking packing, documentation, air freight availability and the receiving appointment. Tell us about exhibition deadlines or urgent requests from the start. Freight rates and available capacity may change until the booking is confirmed.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Please provide collection and delivery cities and postal codes, the number of works, their dimensions and value, photographs, current packing and your preferred dates. If the works are already crated, include each crate’s external dimensions and gross weight. Mention stairs, access restrictions and any unpacking or installation requirements.
