Paris to Houston: plan through to the recipient

An artwork purchased from a Paris gallery or a studio elsewhere in France may require collection, crating and air freight before delivery in Texas. We assess these stages using the artwork details, available packing and destination address.

For a Houston delivery, include the postal code, the type of premises — gallery, residence or exhibition space — and the receiving contact’s details. Airport delivery and placement inside a building have different scopes. The quotation specifies the services included and any charges that may remain payable separately.

Packing for departures from France

Protection is assessed according to materials, framing, projecting elements, fragility and artwork dimensions. A custom crate can be prepared in France. An existing crate is reviewed for reuse using photographs, its condition and the internal supports. External dimensions and gross weight are needed to calculate air freight.

Air freight and customs formalities

We coordinate air transport and the export and import formalities agreed in the quotation. Specify whether the shipment concerns a sale to a collector, collection transfer, loan, exhibition or return. Documentation and any applicable duties, taxes and clearance charges are reviewed according to the project.

Delivery and handling in Houston

Tell us about stairs, lifts, restricted access and receiving slots. For a heavy sculpture or large painting, available passages and handling requirements must be assessed before booking. Unpacking, installation and storage can be considered on request and should be specified in the quotation.

Shipping from Houston to Paris

Are you bringing an artwork purchased in Texas to France or preparing a French exhibition? Send the collection address, photographs and packing details. For a ready crate, include its external dimensions, gross weight and collection arrangements.

Local packing preparation must be confirmed before collection. We do not advertise crate fabrication in Houston: if the work is not packed, tell us what preparation options are available locally so that transport feasibility can be assessed. Import formalities in France depend on the nature of the transaction and the supporting documents.

Paris–Houston shipping questions

Can you arrange delivery after a gallery sale?

Yes, subject to a review of the shipment. Send the gallery and recipient details, artwork information and receiving requirements. Specify who is responsible for each service and whether transit insurance is required. Insurance is offered subject to the declared value and policy terms.

How much does shipping to Houston cost?

The price depends on crate volume and weight, collection, air freight capacity, customs formalities and the delivery required. An airport-to-airport rate should not be compared directly with a quotation including collection, crating and residential delivery. We specify the scope of our offer.

What information helps you prepare a quote?

Provide addresses and postal codes, preferred dates, the number of artworks, their dimensions and value, and photographs. Include the external dimensions and gross weight of each existing crate, access conditions and unpacking requirements. The schedule is confirmed after reviewing packing, documentation, flights and the final receiving appointment.
